National Assembly to Probe  Jonathan’s $460M Chinese loan.

By Mahdi Shehu

Mid-afternoon today, 22nd October, 2025, the National assembly woke up from a siesta slumber with an associated offensive fart that polluted the air if decency and decided to probe the $460M CCTV loan obtained from the Chinese loaners by president Jonathan.

1. This seemingly senile probe and Unintelligent desperate excursion into dirty, smelly, murky waters is the best example of limitless Next level Shamelessness.

2. Jonathan has suddenly become an enemy that must be destroyed, restrained or intimidated because of 2027, a year where nobody has the guarantee to reach.

3. In Naira to Dollar terms the said CCTV loan under reference was N 199× $460m = N91.5Billion.

4. For the records, President Jonathan left behind N12 Trillion loan stock through his 6 years. The “Angelic and saintly Buhari” left N77 Trillion debt stock. The ” Super economic wizard” Tinubu has within two years collected N144 Trillion and is still counting.

4. Unlike late Buhari’s and Tinubu’s excruciating loans jamboree, that of Jonathan was subjected to legislative processes and dully approved by the National Assembly.

4. The politically motivated probe with venom of vendetta and reptile body language is a further confirmation how desperate politicians can play DIRTY and in the process “FORGET THEIR DIRTY PAST”

5. Indeed the probe is an example where a drummer Jonathan is drumming the music with the sound and Rhythm of peace while the National Assembly dancers are carrying AK 49 and submachine guns with live ammunition wishing violence.

6. If the national assembly has any sense of investigative decency, if they have firm control of their central nervous system, if not for their reptilian instincts, there are more doubtful, questionable and seemingly heartless loans they should probe..loans such as:

7. Buhari’s N30 Trillion ways and means, obtained in absolute and dubious secrecy and which was vehemently defended and justified by the rubber stamp Senate of his regime and some other noisy members. Those who “played along” went to the banks and BDC’ ‘S laughing. Buhari left a loan burden of N77 Trillion

8. Tinubu’s ” convenient” loans have now reached N150 trillion whose processes Nigerian read on social and other media outfits because National assembly always stand on the “existing mandate” where they see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil and protect all evils.

9. Why not probe the N7 Trillion 2025 “Criminal” 2025 budget padding.

10. Why not probe the N10.5 Trillion cumulative constituency projects whose failed contractors are well known.

11. Senator Wadada, Chairman Senate committee on public accounts appeared three times on Arise TV and insisted that NNPCL could not explain nor account for N210 Trillion proceeds between 2017- 2023. But no probe threat from the National Assembly.

12. The $7 Billion (N12 Trillion) earmarked for the turn around maintenance of the three moribund refineries were alleged to have been outrightly stolen, yet inordinate cowardly silence is the only notice at the National assembly.

13. Just last week the finance minister claimed that they distributed N330 Billion to vulnerable groups with no single verifiable evidence. But the national Assembly continued to stand on “HIS MANDATE”

14. Currently 139 million Nigerians are living in squalor and abject poverty, with 39 million malnourished children, 69 M out of school children, University lecturers, doctors etc on strike over legitimate entitlements, issues that are not of any interest to the National Assembly members to probe.

15. All these victims of injustice are praying daily and the day their prayers are answered will be the day of regret at a time when regret has no value.
