Stop Linking FUDMA VC To Corruption,   Northern Nigerian Students  Warn Detractors

The Association of Northern Nigerian Students (ANNS) has rallied behind the   Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsinma, Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi, describing the corruption allegations against the VC as baseless.
This was contained in a statement signed by the National Coordinator
ANNS, Aminu Abbas, made available to our correspondent yesterday.
“The Association of Northern Nigerian Students (ANNS) wishes to firmly express its unwavering support for the former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsinma, Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi, in light of the recent corruption allegations being circulated in certain quarters.
“As a reputable academic and administrator, Professor Bichi has demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, and commitment to educational development throughout his tenure. Under his stewardship, the Federal University Dutsinma witnessed notable progress in academic standards, infrastructure growth, and student focused initiatives that have positively impacted the institution and the wider community,” the student’s said at a press briefing held at the Arewa House in Kaduna.
ANNS said it strongly believes that the allegations against Professor Bichi are unfounded and appear to be deliberate attempts to tarnish his hard earned reputation, while introducing unnecessary political sentiments into matters that should remain professional and evidence based.
“We caution against the spread of unverified claims capable of undermining public trust in respected educational leaders,” the group said.
The students therefore,  called on relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure that due process, fairness, and transparency prevail.
“Justice must never be compromised by speculation or politically motivated narratives. Professor Bichi, like every citizen, deserves a fair and impartial review grounded in facts,” they urged.
The association further urged  students, members of the academic community, and the general public to remain calm, avoid misinformation, and uphold the values of truth and responsible engagement.
“ANNS remains committed to supporting credible leadership, protecting the integrity of our educational institutions, and advocating for justice at all times,” the group  assured.
