Bandits Kill One, Kidnap 7 In Kaduna’s Millennium City

Bandits have allegedly killed one person and abducted seven others during an early morning attack on Sabon Gyero community in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Reports indicate that the attackers, who stormed the community in large numbers in the early hours of Monday, invaded a residence and abducted three women and four children.
The bandits also attacked a phone charging centre in the area where they shot and killed a young man identified as Abdullahi Lawal, popularly known as “Kurma.”
The attackers reportedly carted away several mobile phones and laptops from the centre.
Abdullahi Lawal, Kurma who was deaf and non-verbal, sustained a gunshot  to the head,  rushed to a hospital, but died before reaching the medical facility.
He was later buried in Sabon Gyero Community according to Islamic rites.
Speaking to newsmen, the Commandant of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in the area, Uwaisu Yunusa, said members of the task force responded after hearing gunshots and attempted to pursue the attackers but were unable to catch up with them.
Meanwhile, one of the kidnapped women was later released by the abductors due to health complications.
Dan Hono 2 Community at Millennium City that was attacked about 10 times is a close neighbor to Sabon Gyero Community.
