Kaduna FTAN Calls on Government to Replicate Proven Model Intentional Engagement

The Kaduna State Chapter of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), has called on the Federal Government to replicate a proven model intentional engagement between two existing, functional entities to unlock exponential economic growth.

FTAN cited its long-standing relationship ties with the Oguntoye and Adediran families as the economic analogue for what must now happen at government level.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Kaduna state Coordinator of FTAN, Dr. Tobi Bernard Thomas at the weekend in Kaduna.

In the statement, he disclosed that the Oguntoye and Adediran’s twin brothers and sisters’wedding in Ibadan tagged “TwinningInLove2026″ graduated from ‘Relationship Capital to Economic Capital.

The Association noted that the popular wedding of Oguntoye and Adediran’s family was not a one-off event, adding that Oguntoye twins are long-time friends and industry play pals of FTAN Kaduna.

” Through their Twins World Creations and ‘Twin Tourism, they have been co-designing cultural tourism products with us for years. The Adediran twins are stakeholders in hospitality and South-West cultural tourism with whom we have worked on bridal and destination packaging.

“This existing trust, shared projects, and mutual revenue streams are why #TwinningInLove2026 went viral and drove real economic activity for vendors, hotels, transport, media, and creatives,” the statement explained.

In the statement FTAN Kaduna called for intentional engagement framework as a panacea to functional digital and creative economies, while also urging all the players in the industry to work together as one engine for effectiveness.

The Association said, such collaborative efforts would in no doubt produced one national outcome.

On while the ‘Twin Combination’ matters, FTAN Kaduna explained that for Nigeria to achieve its $1 trillion Gross Domestic Products (GDP) target by 2030, the government should put into consideration the population growth of the country.

The Association, in the statement aligned itself with the May 14th Open Letter to Mr. President, written by Dr. Tobi Bernard Thomas published in the New Nigerian Newspaper which stated that tech talent and creative talent are “running on parallel tracks.

“If two couples, with years of industry ties, can capture the world’s attention in one weekend, two Ministries with years of federal investment can deliver for 242 million Nigerians, hence the need for government of Nigeria to explore all opportunities available in the industry to improve on the GDP of the country,” Thomas emphasized.

The Kaduna state Coordinator of FTAN therefore called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to use his political will and executive order for a better tourism industry in the country.

“We are asking for 90 days to connect the dots. The youth are ready to build. Give us the framework, and we will do the rest,” Thomas urged.
