Kaduna, Oct. 25, 2026 (NAN) The Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Mr Bege Gaiya, says Southern Kaduna will support President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Uba Sani in the 2027 general elections in appreciation of their development efforts.
Gaiya made the declaration alongside the Sardaunan Ikulu, Alhaji Isma’il Yusuf Ashafa, at the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for Tinubu’s re-election in Kaduna.
They said the region had benefited from development projects and increased political representation under the Tinubu and Sani administrations.
The duo cited the appointment of retired Gen. Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff and his subsequent appointment as Minister of Defence as evidence of Southern Kaduna’s representation at the federal level.
They also highlighted the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and the Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan.
They further cited the enactment of the law establishing the Federal Medical School, Manchok, in Kaura Local Government Area.
Gaiya and Ashafa commended Sani for what they described as inclusive governance and efforts to extend development projects to Southern Kaduna.
They identified road infrastructure, healthcare, education and rural development as key areas of intervention by the state government.
The duo urged community leaders, political stakeholders and residents to sustain their engagement with the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
They expressed optimism that continued support for the party would consolidate existing development gains and attract more projects to the region.(NAN)(nannews.ng)
