An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat for Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Engr. Seth Bakut, has officially purchased his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the National Secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), formally signaling his entry into the race ahead of the party’s primaries.
Bakut, who made the disclosure on Friday, said the decision was taken in the company of friends, supporters, and political associates who accompanied him to the party secretariat in Abuja.
According to him, the move marks the beginning of what he described as a “collective journey” towards offering quality representation to his constituency at the National Assembly.
“Today, in the company of my friends and supporters, I officially purchased my Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms at the National Secretariat of our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to enable me contest in the primaries of our great party,” he said.
The House of Representatives hopeful appealed for support from elders, constituents, political stakeholders, friends, and family, describing his aspiration as a service-driven project rather than a personal ambition.
“My fellow compatriots, elders, supporters, constituents, friends, and family, I humbly beseech you to support this project. I pledge to be a fair, accessible, and people-oriented leader who will diligently represent our people in the Green Chamber when elected,” he stated.
Bakut acknowledged the competitiveness of the political space, noting that the task ahead would require unity and sustained engagement with the electorate.
“The task ahead of us is not an easy one, but together we can achieve it. I am simply asking for the opportunity to serve and to provide quality representation for our people,” he added.
He further disclosed that in the coming days, he would unveil his manifesto and policy direction, which he said would focus on constituency development, youth empowerment, education, and inclusive governance.
“In the coming days, I shall be presenting my manifesto and detailed plans to you all,” he said.
Bakut expressed optimism about his chances in the party primaries, maintaining that his aspiration is anchored on grassroots engagement and service delivery.
He thanked his supporters for their solidarity and urged continued support as the campaign process unfolds.
