Disturbed by the country’s persistent security challenges, especially in the North, the Conference of Northern Emirs held in Dutse the jigawa state capital has expressed concern to end it
Addressing a press conference after the conference, the Governor’s Forum Chairman and Gombe state Governor, Alh. Muhammad Inua Yahaya said the insecurity situation in the North has reach a point that atrocities in all its ramifications is alarming .
Governor Inua who spoke in his capacity as the conference Special Guest Speaker further stated the deteriorating state of the country’s security quackmires saying keeping silence, hesitation, and routine responses lackerdisically will no.longer be acceptable.
Speaking in his capacity as the Forum Chairman, and Governor of Gombe State, His Excellency Muhammad Inua Yahaya said, even though the theme of the meeting strikes at the very heart of our existence as a people: “Peace, Unity and Development of Northern Nigeria.” Inuwa Yahaya, said that, the security situation in the North has reached a point where silence, hesitation, and routine responses are no longer acceptable.
The conference in conjunctions with Northern Traditional Rulers Council, held at banquet hall Government house Dutse called the attention of all and sundry,among all other Stakeholder’s on this burning issues of devastation of the country’s security networks, calls for a Retrogressive security reforms as a.panacea to having a relative peace for Nigerians.
In his remarks the Special Guest of honor, and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris said the federal government is committed towards improving security situations in the country.
The Minister who Commended the effort and roles of traditional leaders in peace keeping and National Development, and assured the federal government more support for better peaceful Nigeria.
He also described the death of late general Rabe as a great lost to the nation as well as a painful reminder to all Nigerians to work collectively and address the challenges.
