The Kaduna State Coordinator of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, FTAN, Dr. Tobi Bernard Thomas, has commended Governor Uba Sani on his choice of running mate for the forthcoming governorship elections in the state.
He described the nomination of Jerry Adams on a joint ticket as the best match.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Monday, Thomas also described the decision as timely, strategic and inclusive.
This was just as the FTAN Coordinator noted that the choice of Jerry Adams
reflects the governor’s commitment to balanced representation, competence, and continuity in leadership.
“Senator Uba Sani has once again demonstrated political sagacity and a deep understanding of Kaduna State’s diversity.
“The nomination of Mr. Jerry Adams, a technocrat with proven capacity in public service and grassroots engagement, is a deliberate effort to deepen inclusivity, particularly for Southern Kaduna, while consolidating on the gains of good governance recorded so far,” Thomas stated.
On Jerry Adams’ tenure as the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, KADIRS, Thomas emphasized that it is an evidence of his capacity, transparency, and diligence in public service.
“We believe his track record positions him as a worthy partner to advance the administration’s agenda in the areas of security, infrastructure, education, and economic growth. This is the kind of leadership synergy that inspires investor confidence and strengthens citizens’ trust,” Thomas explained.
Thomas who also speaks on behalf of tourism and hospitality stakeholders in the state, added that the pairing brings together experience and fresh energy required to drive investment, peace, and sustainable development across Kaduna’s three senatorial zones.
“As stakeholders in the tourism sector, we see this as a decision that will further open Kaduna to opportunities in hospitality, culture, and economic development. Peace and inclusive governance are the foundation for tourism to thrive, and this ticket signals stability,” he noted.
Thomas called on political actors, party stakeholders, and citizens to support the vision, emphasizing that Kaduna’s progress in 2027 and beyond will depend on unity and leadership that prioritizes people over politics.
He reaffirms FTAN Kaduna’s commitment to continue collaborating with the state government to position tourism as a key driver of job creation, revenue generation, and peaceful coexistence.
“We pledge our continued support to the Uba Sani administration and we are confident that with this team, Kaduna will remain on the path of growth, inclusivity, and prosperity,” he concluded.
