In line with the Force commitment to peaceful, credible and law-abiding electoral processes come 2027 the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 12 Bauchi, AIG Vungmoh Sm Kwaimo on Friday, received the Legal Team of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) for an interactive session.
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer Zone 12 Headquarters, Bauchi, SP Jalige Mohammed, said that the visit was aimed at discussing issues related to electoral security, adherence to the electoral act, protection of lives and property in inter agency collaboration ahead of the 2027 General elections.
In his response, the AIG reaffirmed the Police mandate to remain neutral, professional and apolitical in the discharge of its duties.
The AIG further urged all political parties to ensure proper Sensitization to their members on lawful conduct.
The leader of the delegation Jibrin S Jibrin Esq commended the AIG for his open door policy and pledged the party’s commitment to peaceful campaigns and full compliance with the extant laws.
