The Emir of Gusau, Sarkin Katsinan Gusau, HRH Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello ll, has turbanned Hajiya Habiba Shehu Danfulani as 1st Lu’u Lu’un Matan Gusau.
The turbaninng ceremony took place at Gusau Emir’s Palace as part of the activities of coronation and presentation to the Emir with Staff of Office by Gov Dauda Lawal.
Hajiya Habiba Shehu Danfulani is the popular philanthropist in the state rendering personal humanitarian support to orphans, less privileged and vulnerable persons and families.
The 1st LU’U LU’UN MATAN GUSAU is the beloved wife of Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu, House of Reps Member, Representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency.
The colourful ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including the traditional rulers, government officials, women and youths groups, politicians and well wishers.
The Emir, Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello described Hajiya Habiba Shehu Danfulani as a mother who always work to uplift the life of the voiceless.
“We carefully monitored all your activities before we agree to confer this title for you, adding that the tittle was based on merit.
“We believe you various programmes and initiatives have contributed immensely to the lives of women and children.
“You also impacted to lives of vulnerable children and families especially on education and health,” the Emir explained.
He called on her to continue to be good ambassador of the emirate and Zamfara State.
“You should continue to render the support you have been given to the orphans and less privileged, we pray for Almighty Allah to reward you abundantly.
Responding to the turbaninng ceremony, an aide to Hon Abdulmalik Zubairu and State Coordinator, APC Daram Dam Dam, Hon Shamsu Kasida described the confereement of the tittle of Lu’u Lu’un Matan Gusau to Hajiya Habiba Shehu Danfulani as well deserved.
“This event is timely and welcome development considering her service to the humanity, kindness, motherly character and her contribution to women and youth through her initiated Zamcare Initiative and other humanitarian activities and programmes.
“On behalf of myself, my family I congratulate our mother on this great honour, infact this is a well deserved appointment from our father HRH, Sarkin Katsinan Gusau, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello” he said.
Kasida prayed for Allah’s guidance support and protection on her.
